When TJ Humphreys decided to get serious about bodybuilding, he had one goal in mind. He wanted to turn his already chiseled abs, arms and legs into something he would be proud to show off on stage.
An avid weightlifter who could bench press 500 pounds and do 700-pound squats, TJ soon realized that there was more to bodybuilding than how much you could lift. He also had to learn that getting the chiseled and ripped arms, abs and legs that set bodybuilders apart from other athletes required just as much focus at the dinner table as it did at the gym.
TJ has had tremendous success competing. Titles include: 2004 SW USA, 1st Runner-Up; 2004 Heart of Texas, 1st Runner-Up; 2004 Red River Classic, 1st Place; 2005 USA’s, 17th Place (39 competitors); and 2005 Rocky Mountain Classic, 1st Place. And, that is not all. In the relatively short time he has dedicated himself to this sport, he has been featured in numerous issues of national bodybuilding magazines, including the April 2007 cover of Muscle & Fitness.
